To be eligible for the Oklahoma Funeral Director Association scholarship, the applicant must meet all the following requirements:
A. Names of applicants must be presented by a member of OFDA.
B. Recipient must meet the educational requirements of the Oklahoma Funeral Board.
C. Residence Status - Applicant must be a legal resident of the state of Oklahoma for two years and must meet requirements of any accredited College offering instruction in Mortuary Science.
D. Personal Qualifications - Applicant must possess an acute mind, a pleasing personality, good character, ambitious purpose and positive qualities of leadership. They must have abstained from participation in activities which created behavior incidents.
E. Scholastic Requirements - Applicant must have earned at least a “C” average in his/her four years of high school. The applicant must maintain satisfactory work and good conduct while attending the College of Embalming and maintain at least a “C” average each semester or quarter to continue to receive scholarship payments.
