OFDA Monthly Letter - January 2019

Happy New Year!! The Year of 2019 is upon us. Hopefully those pesky resolutions we all try to implement each year are working for you. Change in Lifestyle or how we do things can be a tuff and scary thing to do. But without an attempt to try something new will keep us going down the same path of life without knowledge that the change is for better or worse.

OKFDA membership drive is in full force by now. If you have not gotten your membership dues form yet, please let us know so we can send one to you. We attempted to send renewal forms to all licensed firms and individuals members registered with the Oklahoma Funeral Board. As of this Month the membership renewals are trending towards more firms and individuals joining than in previous years. Thank you for your support of this association.

The spring district meeting will be coming soon in the month of February. The discussion of the new Convention/Conference registration fees will be discussed. The spring meetings will also give the opportunity for those individuals who would like to be more involved with the association. Each district will be electing Chairman’s and Districts One, Three, and Five will be nominating Governors. These positions will be a good starting point to be part of the Executive Board in your future.

The last thing I would like to acknowledge is the unexpected passing of our District Five Governor: Roger Clark of Tishomingo, OK in December. He was a true professional in this industry and contributed a lot to the OKFDA Association. May your memories of him live on with those that knew him?

As always remember THE CHECKER FLAG EXPERINCE “REV IT UP”
